One-third of the 1,500 participants are from the United States, one-third from India, and the remainder from the rest of the world.

Seven Cambodian women have been chosen to take part in the 2017 Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) in India next week.

The summit will be opened by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Ivanka Trump.

One-third of the 1,500 participants are from the United States, one-third from India, and the remainder from the rest of the world.

Outhanvatey By, managing director of the RTR Tour Company, was one of those selected. Her advice? “Never give up. Fail. Stand up. Repeat.”

This will be the eighth annual GES, which are co-sponsored by the U.S. and Indian governments.

Participants represent four key industries: energy and infrastructure; healthcare and life sciences; financial technology and digital economy; and media and entertainment.

This year’s event has a special significance, as it is the first time that a majority of participants -- 52.5 percent -- are women.

By says there are many opportunities for business creation in Cambodia and hopes to gain inspiration by listening to the stories of other women entrepreneurs during the GES.
