Khmer Cookbook Won Gourmand Awards for the "Best Asian Cuisine Cookbook"
The French version of a Khmer cookbook "Au Pays de la Pomme Cythère, de Mère en Fille, Authentiques Recettes Khmères," won Gourmand Awards for the world's "Best Asian Cuisine Cookbook" in 2010. The English version of the book, "Ambarella" won Gourmand Awards for the "Best Asian Cuisine Cookbook" in the UK in 2013. The "Ambarella" is now nominated for the Gourmand Awards for World's "Best Asian Cuisine Cookbook" in 2014, held in Beijing from May 19 through 21. At VOA TV studio in Washington, DC, VOA Khmer's Im Sothearith talked to the book co-author Kanika Linden about the book and Khmer food.
