Talks between striking workers and officials Caltex gas stations failed again Tuesday, despite efforts from the Ministry of Labor and others.
Workers from the Chevron brand have been striking since May 12, calling for an increase in the minimum wage, to $160 per month.
Caltex has said it wants more time to study the demands, but workers say they will continue to strike until their demands are met.
“Up to now, there is still no resolution,” said Sar Mora, head of the Labor Union Federation of Food and Services.
“We are still adhering to our initial demands, by going on strike until our demands are met,” said Yoeung Reth, a worker representative in the meeting, said.
Officials for Caltex and Chevron did not comment Tuesday.
