The honorary president of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) says there is no power struggle inside the party while CPP president Chea Sim is sick.
Political observers suspect an internal power struggle within the CPP could cause political instability in Cambodia if Chea Sim's health gets worse.
Speaking to reporters at the National Assembly building Thursday, Heng Samrin says such speculation is wrong because Chea Sim is not so sick that he can not work.
Heng Samrin also says Chea Sim is resting at home to take care of his heart condition so that he can go back to work.
