U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell calls Feb. 3, 2005 "another black day in Cambodia's history and for freedom.
In a statement to be inserted into the Congressional Record on Cambodia, the Kentucky senator condemned the action of the Cambodian national assembly to strip the three members of the Sam Rainsy Party of their parliamentary immunity.
Senator McConnell called the action "outrageous and unacceptable." He said Washington and the world are watching the situation in Cambodia closely.
