Cambodian opposition party leader Sam Rainsy said he's not worried about the government's plan to suspend his parliamentary immunity.
Speaking to reporters upon his return to Cambodia Thursday, the opposition party president said he is confident the new king and the former king will use their rights to resolve the issue peacefully.
Both kings have written separate letters to prime minister Hun Sen asking him to reconsider the plan to suspend the immunity of the SRP members of parliament.
In a response to the kings' letters, Mr. Hun Sen said he is not the one who sued Mr. Sam Rainsy and the others. He said he needed time to talk to FUNCINPEC president Norodom Ranariddh.
