Prince Ranariddh on War on Terrorism - 2004-10-27

The president of the National Assembly Norodom Ranariddh said he planned to talk to prime minister Hun Sen about his concerns on international terrorism.

Prince Ranariddh's concerns came out after the Chairman of the Security Council's Committee Heraldo Munoz UN security council expressed his concern last week that Cambodia "could become a breeding ground for terrorists unless it received urgently needed international cooperation to strengthen its capacity to confront terrorism".

Prince Ranariddh admitted Cambodia does not have tough laws yet against terrorism yet but is confident Prime Minister Hun Sen will pay close attention to the problem and enact laws to deal with international terrorism soon.
