President of the Cambodian Center for Human Rights Kem Sokha was formally indicted Friday by a Phnom Penh court in the FUNCINPEC libel lawsuit.
FUNCINPEC filed a lawsuit some time ago accusing Mr. Kem Sokha of trying to destroy its president's reputation by accusing Prince Ranariddh of accepting bribe from CPP in exchange for agreeing to form a coalition government.
The human rights activist said he has nothing to be afraid of if the system is independent. He said he's only afraid if the court is influenced by any political figure or party.
The government prosecutor could not be contacted for comments. Mr. Kem Sokha said he doesn't know what to do if someone is after him to shut him up. He said it's up to the Cambodian people to judge if he's doing anything wrong
