Sixteen members of the Sam Rainsy party (SRP) wrote a letter to King Norodom Sihanouk asking him to intervene because Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen has recently accused them of trying to build an illegal army.
Meanwhile, another group from the SRP held a press conference Thursday confessing to the alleged plot in exchange for an amnesty.
