The Free Labor Union of Cambodia (FLUC) and the Independent Teachers Association of Cambodia (ITAC) plan a peaceful march in Phnom Penh on Tuesday.
The president of ITAC, Mr. Rong Chhun said the purpose of the march is to bring a petition to the Royal Palace to ask King Norodom Sihanouk to name the late president of the FLUC, Chea Vichea, a labor union hero, and to allow a statue or monument to be built for his memory.
Chea Vichea was slained on January 22, 2004 in broad daylight at a newsstand in Phnom Penh. His supporters said so far the Cambodian police have not found the real killers
