FUNCINPEC President, Prince Norodom Ranaridh, said the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) must give FUNCINPEC control of some important ministries.
CPP wants to take the ministry of justice, foreign affairs, interior, defense and finance. Speaking to reporters at the National Assembly building Monday, Prince Ranaridh said when CPP lost the elections in 1993, FUNCINPEC agreed to have co-prime minsters for the sake of the country and now CPP should make some concessions.
CPP spokesman Khieu Kanarith said the 50-50 power sharing suggestion won't work because CPP won the elections. He said if CPP agrees to the formula, then it would be a waste of money to have the elections
