Cambodia Ministry of Tourism said the number of tourists decreased 7 percent in January and February 2004 compared to the same period last year.
The Ministry said there are a combination of reasons for the decrease: SARS, bird flu, and the war in Iraq. The ministry also said in 2002, there were about 800,000 visitors to Cambodia. The number went down to 700,000 in 2003.
