The US embassy in Phnom Penh issues a statement today saying the US is following the FM90 lawsuit and the freedom of the press in Cambodia closely.
The statement follows the Phnom Penh court's decision to give FM90 to a plaintiff who claimed she is the lawful owner of the station. FM90 is known to be a pro-FUNCINPEC radio station.
The owner of FM90 said the Phnom Penh court schedules a hearing Thursday afternoon to look at the case again.
He said he hope the court will reverse its decision when it sees all the paperworks he has to prove that he is the legitimate owner of the station.
