King Sihanouk Made an Analogy for the Violence in Cambodia - 2004-02-02

From Beijing, King Sihanouk made an analogy for the violence that continues to occur almost daily in Cambodia, after the Khmer Rouge era has ended.

Responding to the Cambodian Center for Human Rights' statement that appeared in the Bangkok Post dated January 26 in which Mr. Kem Sokha said "It's beyond my and anyone's comprehension...why the (Khmer Rouge) Killing Fields in Cambodia have not ended yet."

In his reply, the King said Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge have succeeded in transforming the majority of the Cambodian people into "super cruel monsters."
