Squatter Thespians in 'Don't Grab My Land'

A group of volunteer actors have begun putting on a play in an effort to curb land theft, a rising problem across the country.

The thespians, many of whom are homeless thanks to the practice, hope "Don't Grab My Land" will convince the government to take the problem more seriously.

The play was written by members of the Thieng Thnoat, or Palm Branches, community with aid from several development organizations.

More than 40 garment workers saw Saturday's performance.

"This is an opportunity that is given to them to express [their worries] through arts performance," said Thieng Thnoat community coordinator Meas Kimseng.
