A Tennessee man accused of sex crimes in Cambodia appeared before a Los Angeles magistrate this week, following a lengthy detention in Cambodia, a US Department of Homeland Security statement said Tuesday.
Roger Green, whose age was not disclosed, faces a seven-count federal indictment for traveling abroad to engage in criminal sexual activity and pornography, the statement said.
He was arrested in January in Cambodia and indicted in April, under the PROTECT Act, a US initiative that helps prosecute US citizens for sex crimes abroad, the statement said.
