Mid- and top-level Cambodian military commanders were set to take part in a peacekeeping seminar this week, the US Embassy announced Monday.
Participants will learn to identify the needs of distinct peacekeeping missions, the right people to send on those missions, and standards to ensure the right training for a mission has taken place.
The seminar is being run by the Hawaii-based Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance and sponsored by the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, the US Pacific Command and the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations.
