Listeners concerned over prostate cancer received advice Thursday from Dr. Tek Hong, who works in Jacksonville, Fla. Tek Hong identified some symptoms and causes of the disease as well as highlighting some preventative measures for people at risk, during "Hello VOA."
A female caller asked Tek Hong why Cambodians with cancer seem to die more often than those in other countries. In America and other countries, more concentration is put on preventative medicine, he said.
In Cambodia, people go to the hospital only when they are sick.
A male caller asked Tek Hong to return to Cambodia, where, the caller said, health officials lack compassion.
