FUNCINPEC general secretary Nhek Bun Chhay in a press conference Monday says that FUNCINPEC has asked the National Assembly to remove its former president Norodom Ranariddh and a high-ranking official, Chhim Seak Leng, from the assembly.
National Assembly president Heng Samrin says the request will be up for debate next week.
VOA Khmer was not able to reach Ranariddh and Chhim Seak Leng for comment Monday.
Meanwhile, Ranariddh's special representative Serey Kosal says the prince does not care whether or not he'll be removed as MP from the National Assembly.
