Local Newspaper's Director Files a Law Suit Against Mobitel

Love Khmers newspaper's director's lawyer Monday officially files a lawsuit against Mobitel telephone company run by Cambodia Chamber of Commerce director on charges of colluding and giving means in issuing life threatenings to his client. He filed for a 100 million riels (local currency) compensation last month. He says that Mobitel gives his client's identity to the other party.

Love Khmers newspaper director You Sarivudh, a newspaper known for supporting the opposition party charges Oknha Hun To with the intent to kill him via telephone and verbally. Mr. Hun To is Prime Minister Hun Sen's nephew.

The threats were issued after Love Khmers publishes a story about Mr. Hun To and Mr. Kun Kim's son involved with land grabbing in Mondul Kiri province.

Mr. Kun Kim is deputy commander-in-chief for the Royal Cambodian armed forces.

Mr. Hun To denies these charges. Mr. Kun Kim's son declines comment.
