Two of Sam Rainsy party (SRP) local activists were killed in separate incidents in one week in two provinces.
SRP officials do not know whether these killings are politically motivated or because the victim and the perpetrators held grudges .
The SRP officials appeal to the authorities to conduct investigation. Opposition leader Sam Rainsy has some doubts and says that SRP will monitor the situation, asking authorities to investigate as soon as possible.
He wants to know the reason behind these killings. SRP reprsentative in Chhuk town, Kampot province Men Suy Rita says that 25-year-old Koy Vanny is a youth activist, and is the second victim was killed Monday by a group of 3 people who wanted to steal his chickens.
Kampot police commissioner Ou Hay admits there was a murder but alleges it was not politically inclined, and that the police is investigating the incident.
