The Cambodian government plans to send 13 people to the US as witnesses in a hearing for the trial of Cambodian Freedom Fighter's leader Chhun Yasith who was involved with a 2000 attack in Phnom Penh, allege the Ministry of Interior's high ranking officials.
The US government charged Mr. Chhun Yasith with a number of involvements inclusing tax evasion, illegal use of weapons, and the attack in Phnom Penh. At the end of November 2000, the Cambodian government arrested more than 100 people.
The Ministry of Interior spokesman, General Khieu Sopheak says that more than 13 police officers and other people led by the office of anti-drugs's director Bith Dara will leave Cambodia on April 18.
