The Committee for Human Rights Asia criticizes the Cambodian government for failing to arrest the persons who are responsible for the 1997 grenade attacks in front of the National Assembly building.
On March 30, 1997, there were at least 14 people dead and more than 100 people wounded because of the grenade attacks on a crowd of demonstrators led by opposition party leader Sam Rainsy.
In the attack one U.S. citizen was wounded.
