Union Leader Returns Home From Exile

Cambodia's Free Trade Union of Workers' ( CFTUW) president arrives in Cambodia Wednesday and there has not been any arrest warrant against him yet, allege the CFTUW officials and eye witnesses who went to greet him at the airport.

Mr. Chea Mony, who was in exile on charges of accusing the government of ceding land to Vietnam, came back after sending a letter to Prime Minister Hun Sen.

He told national and international reporters, opposition party's officials, Human Rights officials, and about 50 workers that he returns because Mr. Hun Sen calls for the activists who fled abroad to return.

He also says that he will not run even if the Phnom Penh court subpoenas him.

Investigation judge Kong Saet says that he has not seen a lawsuit against Mr. Chea Mony or its withdrawal yet.

Government's lawyer Suong Chantha says that Mr. Hun Sen released the activists on bail, and that he will consider the cases of those in exile.
