The newly released rights activists refuse to take two choices offered by PM Hun Sen on Tuesday, and suggest instead for Mr. Hun Sen to end the lawsuit.
PM Hun Sen said while inauguring a bridge in Kandal province that he offered two choices:
1- for the activists to remain quiet and let the lawsuit end in the time limit of three years, and
2- for the court to speed up the procedures.
From Bangkok, Thailand, the Cambodia Center for Human Rights (CCHR)'s president Kem Sokha says that he cannot accept these terms.
Cambodian Independent Teachers Association's president Rong Chhun says that the government has the capability to drop the lawsuit, and that Mr. Hun Sen can end the case.
Media journalist Mam Sonando says that the government should be linient toward the activists.
Mr. Kem Sokha's lawyer Som Chandina says that the court has not set a date for the sentencing or investigate the case yet.
