Cambodia and Vietnam Foreign Ministers Tuesday afternoon sign letters of supplemental border treaty ratification to implement the controversial 1985 border treaty, after both countries agreed on it. T
he signing ceremony was attended by Cambodian minister of foreign affairs Hor Nam Hong and Vietnamese foreign minister Nguyen Dy Nien at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Phnom Penh, along with Mr. Sok An, deputy prime minister, and a number of border officials.
Mr. Nien said that it is very good for the two countries to have the border marked for friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
Opposition Sam Rainsy party secretary general Eng Chhay Eang said that this ratitication does not benefit the Cambodian people and the nation because the people have no trust in their government.
