An Iranian military transport plane carrying Iranian journalists has crashed into an apartment building in suburban Tehran, killing all 94 people on board.
The Iranian news agency says at least 25 people on the ground were also killed, when the C-130 transport plane with full fuel tanks slammed into the 10-story building Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say the aircraft developed technical problems minutes after take-off from Tehran's Mehrabad airport, and was attempting to return to the airfield when it crashed.
Television footage showed plane wreckage at the base of the burned-out building, which was still standing after the crash.
Authorities say the plane was headed for southern Iran, where dozens of journalists on board were going to report on military maneuvers in the region.
