Opposition Senators Have Questions on Supplemental Border Treaty

Sam Rainsy party (SRP) senators say Monday they will oppose the Supplemental border treaty when the Senate meets to discuss it.

Senator Thach Setha of the SRP says that he will have many questions to ask the government representatives when they come to explain the controversial treaty to the Senate committees. He says he will talk about the Kampuchea Krom which was lost to Vietnam, and the island of Koh Tral, controlled by Vietnam.

He says that the government should invite France to participate in the discussions about this controversial treaty because France was involved in the border demarcation between Cambodia and Vietnam.
