Former King Norodom Sihanouk on Friday announced that the Chinese doctors will continue to monitor his deteriorating health in China.
In a public statement in Khmer, the former king said despite his health condition, he will still preside over the meeting of the National Border Council on May 11th as planned.
The former king said five days after that meeting he will go to a hospital in Beijing to have tests conducted to determine the kind of treatment he needs.
The former king said the Chinese doctors worried about his cancer because he is now 82 years old.
King Norodom Sihamoni and his mother, Queen Monineath will accompany king Sihanouk to the hospital.
