The newly formed National Border Council is scheduled to meet for the first time on Wednesday May 11 in Beijing, China under the chairmanship of former King Norodom Sihanouk.
In a letter to opposition party leader Sam Rainsy, King Sihanouk asked Mr. Rainsy to arrive in Beijing on May 10, a day before the meeting.
The meeting was previously scheduled for May 9 in Phnom Penh but was canceled due to the king's health.
Government special envoy You Hokry, who is also a member of the council says the government's delegation will leave for Beijing on May 10 as well.
