The Russian real estate tycoon Sergei Polonsky was deported Sunday morning, following his arrest Friday.
Polonsky, 43, who is wanted on fraud charges in Russia, owned his own private island off the coast of Cambodia. He was arrested and deported in a deal with the Russian government.
Uk Hai Seila, director of investigation at the Ministry of Interior’s immigration department, confirmed Polonsky’s departure and said authorities are looking for five other Russians whom they plan to expel from the country.
All six have been engaged in activities harmful to public security, he said, including employing bodyguards and equipping them with weapons.
