Defense Minister Tea Banh is on a visit to China, where he is expected to spend about a week, including tours of military facilities.
Tea Banh, who left Sept. 14, will tour factories of military hardware and technological equipment, said Chhum Socheat, a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense.
“The trip is to seek experience from Chinese modern technology,” he said. “They have been made much progress today in technology, weapons, military materiel and others.”
Chhum Socheat declined to give further details of the trip, which was not made public beforehand. It is not known which factories he will visit or who he will meet.
