Cambodian Police Makes an Arrest in Chea Vichea's Murder Case - 2004-01-28

Cambodian police said on Wednesday they have made an arrest in the murder of a prominent trade union leader last week.

A senior police official in Phnom Penh announced the arrest, but would not give any details, saying the investigation is on-going.

Chea Vichea, the president of the Cambodian Free Trade union of Workers, was shot several times last Thursday while he was reading at a newsstand in Phnom penh.
