Three days before the sentencing, The director of Cambodian Center for Human Rights (CCHR), Mr. Kem Sokha, says his organization petitions a Phnom Penh court to release Ken Sara, a 24 year old student along with 57 other detainees who are accused of being involved in the riots against Thai interests in Phnom Penh last january.
