The National Election Committee (NEC) says the Cambodian People's party (CPP) has won an overwhelming majority of popular votes way ahead of its two rivals, the FUNCINPEC party and the Sam Rainsy party (SRP).
NEC also says the National Assembly seats will be divided between September 14th and 26th, after the final results are announced.
But the FUNCINPEC and the SRP reject these preliminary results and log formal complaints with the Constitutional Council over the partiality of the NEC and many cases of the election irregularities.
