Representatives of 48 families from Koh Kong province protested in the provincial capital Monday, upset over the ruling of a local court that handed their land to a third undisclosed party.
The families claim to have lived on the land since 1993, but in April a Koh Kong judge decided the land belonged to someone else, protesters told VOA Khmer.
Cambodia's land problem continues to grow, with hundreds of families displaced from land sold to businesses for development or taken by unscrupulous government and military leaders.
