Interview with Prince Sisowath Thomico on Threat of Arrest

The Cambodian government considers filing a lawsuit against Prince Sisowath Thomico on charges of defaming the government about the loss of territory.

Prince Thomico said he did not defame anyone. He said he only talked about history in his interview or writings. He said his letter about his ideas is posted on former King Sihanouk's website on October 15. He said he wrote about the Koh Tral island which belonged to Cambodia until the Cambodian delegation signed an agreement in 1982 giving it to Vietnam.

He said he regrets the fact that the Cambodian government does not focus on national prosperity and the defense of this nation. He said that if he is imprisoned, he will go on a hunger strike.

He has not written a letter to King Sihamoni informing him of the situation.
