Time-Lapse Map Captures Intensifying Land Concessions

Cambodia’s pervasive land conflicts are due in part to the rapid pace of land concession grants. The rate of the concessions has now been captured in a new time-lapse map. The map, published by the human rights group Licadho, spans nearly two decades, but it shows that within the last three years alone, land concessions have doubled, now reaching more than 2 million hectares. VOA Khmer’s Soeung Sophat talks to Jeff Vize, a consultant with Licadho, to learn more.
