- VOA Khmer
Rights activists from across Asean say they are concerned about the region’s new Human Rights Declaration. At a forum held in Washington this week, Asean rights leaders said they worried local government’s would use the Asean declaration to protect them in crackdowns on freedoms and human rights. Defenders, however, say the declaration is a good first step that can be improved upon. VOA Khmer’s Im Sothearith and Men Kimseng discussed about it after attending the forum.
